Article 7 Parking and LoadingSection 7.07 Location <strong>of</strong> Off-Street Parking Facilities7.06.04 Occupancy- or Capacity-Based StandardsFor the purpose <strong>of</strong> calculating parking requirements based on employees, students,or occupants, calculations are to be based on the greatest number <strong>of</strong> personsworking on any single shift, the maximum enrollment or the maximum occupancyload as determined by the building code, whichever is applicable and whicheverresults in the greater number <strong>of</strong> spaces.7.06.05 Bench SeatingWhen seating consists <strong>of</strong> benches, pews or other similar seating facilities, each 30linear inches <strong>of</strong> seating space counts as 1 seat.7.06.06 Unlisted UsesUpon receiving a permit or development application for a use not specificallyaddressed, the [Insert Official] must apply the <strong>of</strong>f-street parking standard specifiedfor the use that the [Insert Official] deems most similar to the proposed use orrequire that the applicant follow the requirements <strong>of</strong> Sec. Section 7.05.Section 7.07 Location <strong>of</strong> Off-Street ParkingFacilities7.07.01 Residential Zones<strong>The</strong> following standards apply in all RR, RS and RU zones.A. Required <strong>of</strong>f-street parking spaces must be located on the same lot asthe use served, except that <strong>of</strong>f-site parking may be approved as aconditional use.B. Unenclosed <strong>of</strong>f-street parking spaces are permitted in required side orrear setbacks. Unenclosed <strong>of</strong>f-street parking spaces may be located ona driveway in front <strong>of</strong> a garage, but not in any other portion <strong>of</strong> arequired front setback nor within any portion <strong>of</strong> a front setback area.7.07.02 Nonresidential ZonesA. In all zones other than RR, RS and RU zones, required <strong>of</strong>f-streetparking spaces for permitted uses must be located on the same zoninglot as the building or use served, except that <strong>of</strong>f-site parking may beapproved by the [Insert Official]. In such cases, <strong>of</strong>f-site parkingfacilities must be located within 600 feet walking distance <strong>of</strong> the mainentrance to the use served. Off-site parking spaces accessory to a usein a nonresidential zones may be located in any other nonresidentialzone but may not be located in any RR, RS or RU zone.B. Off-street parking for conditional uses may be located on another lotthan the building or use being served is located, when approved aspart <strong>of</strong> the conditional use application, provided that the parking islocated 600 feet walking distance <strong>of</strong> the main entrance to the useserved.C. Permitted uses in the CRG and CRL zones may utilize <strong>of</strong>f-streetparking as is available within 1,000 feet <strong>of</strong> the use served. Publicparking in this area may be used to fulfill parking requirements.
