A building permit to reconstruct a destroyed ordamaged structure must be obtained within 18 months of thedate of occurrence of such damage, and once issued,construction must be diligently pursued.E. Reuse of Historic Commercial StructuresIn order to encourage the reuse of historic commercial structures, theBoard of Adjustment is authorized to approve continuance or reestablishmentof the last legal use of historic commercial structuresregardless of the period of discontinuance or vacancy.
