Article 7 Parking and LoadingSection 7.08 Shared Parkingmust provide a study documenting that adequate parking is availablefor the use, recognizing the specific peak hour and turnovercharacteristics <strong>of</strong> the use in question and other users <strong>of</strong> the parkingfacilities.7.07.03 DrivewaysEntrances, exits, or driveways may not be computed as any part <strong>of</strong> a requiredparking lot or area, except in the case <strong>of</strong> residential zones, where access drivewayslocated outside <strong>of</strong> the required front setback and front yard area may be used tosatisfy <strong>of</strong>f-street parking requirements.Section 7.08 Shared Parking7.08.01 DescriptionShared parking represents an arrangement whereby two or more nonresidentialuses with different peak parking demands (hours <strong>of</strong> operation) use the same <strong>of</strong>fstreetparking spaces to meet their <strong>of</strong>f-street parking requirements.7.08.02 Authorization and CriteriaA. <strong>The</strong> [Insert Official] is authorized to approve shared parkingarrangements for nonresidential uses with different hours <strong>of</strong>operation.B. <strong>The</strong> [Insert Official] may permit up to 100% <strong>of</strong> the parking requiredfor a daytime use to be supplied by the <strong>of</strong>f-street parking spacesprovided for a nighttime or weekend use and vice-versa.C. In order to approve shared parking, the [Insert Official] must find,based on competent evidence provided by the applicant, that thatthere is no substantial conflict in the principal operating hours <strong>of</strong> theuses for which the sharing <strong>of</strong> parking is proposed.7.08.03 Uses with Different Hours <strong>of</strong> OperationA. For the purposes <strong>of</strong> this section, the following uses are considereddaytime uses:1. Office uses;2. Retail uses,3. Industrial uses; and4. Other similar uses with operating hours generally limited todaytime hours, when authorized by the [Insert Official].B. For the purposes <strong>of</strong> this section, the following uses are considerednighttime or weekend uses:1. Auditoriums accessory to schools;2. Religious Assembly facilities;3.
