1270 C/30 min/air are considered. Figure 3.49 depicts the hardness curve of the<br />

samples held isothermally at 400 and 450 C. It is apparent that the hardness values<br />

decrease with increasing temperature, the conventionally hardened material exhibiting<br />

a considerably steeper decrease than the thixo-material. Due to the seemingly very<br />

stable structure, this material exhibits constant values of more than 58 HRC at a<br />
