Morava
mužů, půvab a něha jejích žen, čistá melodická inflexe
životů a zasutých snů.
Moravia
The face of Slovácko’s landscape is made of the souls
of its inhabitants, of the colours and songs that have
sprung from there. Its line is an immaterial light, a
melody line marked by the inner feelings of those who
have lived there; their passionate emotions, their
passionate religious beliefs, their spontaneous exuberance
and their sad love songs.
Slovácko’s landscape is also made of the air one
breathes there; the atmosphere in which the bravura
of its men and the gentle charm of its women, the pure
melodic inflexion of their voices and words, are all
distilled.
An atmosphere sparkling and slightly exhilarating, like
Slovácko’s wine that inebriates the players, and people
gather together to sing songs and rejoice in the gifts
of our Lord; an atmosphere saturated with precious
essences, the glitter of buried treasures, of great lives
past and forgotten dreams.
Moravie
