investments in sports are very low as compared to other countries. Sports are regarded more as a
leisure activity. For instance, it is common to find people playing football with makeshift goals or
goal posts sans the nets. Also, the popularity of various sports is skewed in the favour of cricket where
nets are required only for practice sessions.
The end customers include various schools, colleges, universities, sports clubs and individuals. The
sports nets are not purchased centrally by Sports Authority of India (SAI) as these are low cost items.
