The potential market for surgical suture industry in 2012-13 is estimated at Rs. 415 crore up from Rs.<br />

325 crore in 2007-08 (E). No inflationary increase has been assumed for the price <strong>of</strong> the sutures. In<br />

volume terms, the usage <strong>of</strong> surgical suture industry is expected to grow from 4 – 4.5 million dozens in<br />

2007-08 to 5 – 5.5 million dozens in 2012-13.<br />
