sizes and use different filtration media based on these parameters. As per industry sources the medium
and high efficiency filters require around 2 - 2.5 square metre of filter media per filter.
The filters are housed in the Air handling unit. The AHU can have different combinations of pre filter,
Medium and high efficiency filters. A typical 3000 CFM AHU requires 2 - 4 filters.
investments in infrastructure, the commercial air-conditioning industry is expected to grow at 20% per
annum over the next few years. Thus, the market size is expected to increase to 2 million square
meters by 2012-13. The market potential in 2012-13 is estimated to be Rs. 30 crore. An inflationary
increase of 5% has also been considered to estimate the market size.
