2. Connect the fiber-optic cable to the installed SFP, as shown in Figure 28.<br />

3. Check the LEDs on the RAID controller. When the RAID controller is operating<br />

properly, the amber Fault LED is off. For information about the status of the<br />

RAID controller LEDs, see Table 11 on page 41.<br />

4. To remove the fiber-optic cables, gently pull the fiber-optic cable from the SFP;<br />

then replace the protective caps.<br />

Connecting hosts to the RAID controllers<br />

To connect a host adapter to the RAID controller, perform the following steps.<br />

1. Install a SFP in a host port on the RAID controller.<br />

2. Connect the host-system cables to the RAID controller or to switches. Figure 29<br />

on page 30 shows the location on the RAID controllers where the host-system<br />

cables connect.<br />
