has not been analyzed yet, but it may have come from Proconnesus, considering its
bluish-white color, appreciable in the blocks that were well-preserved under the sand. 87
Using the dimensions of each marble element and the specific gravity of marble as 2,563
kg/m 3 , it is possible to calculate an estimate of the overall tonnage using the following
mathematical formulas: 88
V parallelepiped = Width x Length x Height (for blocks);
V cylinder = π x r 2 x Height (for columns).
