Valve Stem Locks<br />

Stamped Steel Locks 7° Single Groove Design<br />

These valve stem locks are manufactured from premium quality alloy steel, precision diestamped<br />

and then heat treated for maximum strength. These locks are considerably stronger<br />

than stock, and are excellent for all street-performance and moderate racing engine applications.<br />

Machined Steel Locks 7° Single Groove Design<br />

The ultimate in strength and wear resistance. These locks are machined from highest quality<br />

alloy steel billet material using the finest automatic screw machines and then carefully heat<br />

treated. Engineered specifically for today’s high engine speeds and high-tension valve springs.<br />

These machined steel locks are the only locks to be used with our “Posi Lock” valve spring<br />

retainers. Oxide finished for corrosion protection, and color coded for assembly height identification.<br />

Machined Steel Locks 7° Single Bead Design<br />

These machined steel locks are precision machined and heat treated in our own facility for the<br />

latest generation of engine technology. Although primarily designed for the Chevrolet LS1/LS2/<br />

LS6 families, they are also applicable to most valve stems that require a bead-style valve lock.<br />

Multi-Fit Valve Stem Locks 7° Single Groove Design<br />

Our steel billet heat treated Multi-Fit locks feature an increased outside diameter for additional<br />

strength, durability and fatigue resistance. These Multi-Fit locks are highly recommended for<br />

any high RPM, high valve spring tension, or heavy valve application prone to lock distortion<br />

and retainer pull-through. The 7° taper actually provides more clamping force than wider 10°<br />

taper locks and are the preferred choice of professional engine builders and racers. (Use only<br />

with <strong>Crane</strong> Multi-Fit retainers).<br />
