3.6. PostProcessing<br />

View<strong>Argonaut</strong> postprocessing is used to display <strong>Argonaut</strong> data and to export data in ASCII<br />

format. To load a file, use the following steps. Note: The Realtime (§3.5.4) module of View-<br />

<strong>Argonaut</strong> can also be used to play back previously collected data, but the PostProcessing module<br />

is the preferred method.<br />

• Start View<strong>Argonaut</strong> (Start|Programs|<strong>SonTek</strong> Software|View<strong>Argonaut</strong>).<br />

• Click the PostProcessing button.<br />

• Click the File icon in the upper left corner of the screen (or use File|Open or Ctrl+O).<br />

Select the directory and <strong>Argonaut</strong> data file to open.<br />

• The software will show a summary of the specified data file. Click OK to load the entire<br />

file, or specify a range of samples to load and then click OK.<br />

• The software will then plot the data as shown in Figure 8.<br />

Figure 8 shows the <strong>Argonaut</strong> postprocessing screen with key features labeled.<br />

• The top tool bar contains buttons for major postprocessing functions.<br />

• The top plot shows the velocity data versus time.<br />

• The bottom plot shows signal strength data versus time.<br />

• The data file name is shown at the bottom of the screen.<br />

• The right side of the screen shows a tabular display of one sample of data. The sample<br />

number is selected by a marker on the screen.<br />
