Blog Workflow<br />

The following table explains the workflow of a blog.<br />

Blogs<br />

Blog Comments A Comments link appears at the end of the blog post. The<br />

link includes a number in parentheses, for example (3).<br />

This number denotes how many comments have been<br />

made. Click this link to move to the comments page, where<br />

you can read comments on the post and possibly enter your<br />

own.<br />

Blog Roll Other blog sites that the blog’s creator wants site visitors to<br />

view.<br />

Blog Subjects Subjects associated with the blog. If you click a subject,<br />

links to all posts associated with the subject appear.<br />

Calendar Indicates when blog posts were made. This lets site visitors<br />

navigate your blog by clicking a day that has blog posts.<br />

Workflow Description See Also<br />

Phase 1 An administrator creates a blog in the<br />

Workarea. During this phase, he assigns<br />

blog subjects, creates a blog roll, and<br />

decides how comments are handled.<br />

Phase 2 A developer adds the blog to a Web form<br />

using the blog server control. He then<br />

publishes the form.<br />

Phase 3 <strong>Ektron</strong> <strong>CMS400.NET</strong> users can add<br />

blog posts, either from the Workarea or<br />

the Web site.<br />

Depending on the user’s permissions, the<br />

post is either published immediately or<br />

submitted to the blog’s approval chain.<br />
