Editing HTML Content<br />

If you check content out, you or a member of the Administrators group must check<br />

it in before other users can edit it.<br />

The ability to edit content is a privilege granted by the system administrator. If you<br />

do not see an Edit option on the dropdown menu, you do not have permission to<br />

do so.<br />

Steps in Editing HTML Content<br />

There are two ways to edit content:<br />

• from a web page after you log in<br />

• from the <strong>Ektron</strong> <strong>CMS400.NET</strong> Workarea<br />

Each is now explained.<br />

Accessing the Edit Content Screen from a Web Page<br />

To access the Edit Content screen from a Web page, follow these<br />

steps.<br />

1. Browse to the content you want to edit.<br />

2. Click Edit from the menu options.<br />

3. The Edit Content in Folder screen appears. From here, you can<br />

•edit content<br />

•create or edit a summary<br />

•specify metadata for the content<br />

•enter or update a comment<br />

•enter or update start and end dates<br />

•review and update Web Alert information (To learn more, see<br />
