Working with Menus<br />

• Menu Feature > Permission to Use the Menus Feature<br />

• Menu Feature > Implementation of the Menus Feature<br />

The Structure of Menus and Menu Items<br />

Menus have the following structure:<br />

• menu - top level structure that is a placeholder for menu items<br />

and submenus. It is assigned to a content folder.<br />

A menu identifies a page template used to display menu<br />

options that are content.<br />

• menu item - the individual options on a menu; can be any of<br />

the following<br />

- content of any type<br />

- library asset<br />

- external hyperlink (link to a page outside your Web site)<br />

- submenu (a link to another menu. In the illustration below,<br />

the menu on the right is a submenu. It appears when the<br />

user hovers the cursor over Company Profile. The right<br />

arrow indicates a submenu is available.)<br />

Access to the Menus Feature<br />

There are three ways to access the Menus feature:<br />

• the Workarea, by choosing the associated content folder then<br />

clicking View > Menus<br />
