In the calling sequence, the program supplies the following variables:<br />

o<br />

o<br />

terminal-name is the monitor-assigned name of the terminal,<br />

returned when you use the GETLIN monitor call.<br />

udx is the Universal Device Index for the terminal.<br />

SKIP RETURN<br />

o channo is the channel number of the channel to which the<br />

terminal is connected.<br />

The monitor returns the node number and the line number in the ac<br />

the form:<br />

The node-number is the number of the node at which the specified<br />

terminal is located. The line-number on non-network systems is<br />

equivalent to the terminal number. On a network system, line-number<br />

is the physical line number of the terminal on the node to which the<br />

terminal is connected.<br />

Networked terminals are assigned logical line numbers from a pool of<br />

network terminal numbers when they connect to a host. Therefore, the<br />

logical line number will change as the particu'lar node to which the<br />

terminal is attached comes on-line, and as the terminal connects to,<br />

and disconnects from a host.<br />
