princess was taken away, no one knew where.<br />

Now this cart full of gold did not last <strong>the</strong><br />

king even as long as <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r had. And very<br />

soon he was out in <strong>the</strong> fields again, wondering<br />

what he could do. For by this time he could<br />

think of nothing but his wine.<br />

Again, as before, a stranger stood before him.<br />

He was as well dressed <strong>and</strong> as pleasing as <strong>the</strong><br />
