"But that is a far journey, my child," Bootup
said. "I must start early in the morning for
that."
Early the next morning, Bootup, suspecting
nothing, started upon his long journey, in
search of the crimson cloud in the west at sun
set.
When he was far away, the women took the
baby and hurried to the canoe. All day long
they worked at the paddles, keeping watch of
What should they do? Ah! there were the
When Bootup reached his baby s toys, he
swam around and around them, uttering loud
pursuit of the runaways.
Then Bootupskw threw out the baby s
cradle
