He bought the horse, and started home

lined with trees and bushes. When Coolnajoo
came to the head of the lane, he said to the
horse :
"This is the road. Now you may go to the
house yourself. took off the halter and
the horse kicked up his heels and made for his
old home.
Coolnajoo went home and told his brothers
how stupid the horse had been.
"You numbskull !"
they exclaimed; "you
can
never do anything right. Why did you not ride
him down the lane?"
I will do better next "Oh, time,"
he promised.
Soon after this the brothers sent Coolnajoo
to find a woman to help care for the mother,
who was ill. Coolnajoo took his bridle and
went off. He soon found a woman, and they
started home together. When they reached
the head of the lane Coolnajoo said to her:
"I must put the bridle on your head; you
will need to carry me on your back.

The terrified woman screamed, and broke
away from Coolnajoo and fled.
Coolnajoo was very much puzzled at the
woman s actions. He went home and told his
brothers that the woman had run away.
"Why,
what was the trouble," they asked
him.
