Since 1957 Dr. Arthur R. Jensen has been on the
faculty of the University of California in Berkeley.
where he is now Professor of Educational
Psycholog) and Research Psychologist at the
Institute of Human Learning. A graduate of U.C.,
Berkeley, and Columbia University, he was a
climca psychology intern at the University of
Maryland Psych atric Institute and a postdoctora
'esea^ch feijow at the Institute of Psychiatry,
Unrversity of London. He was a Guggenheim
Fellow arvd a bellow of the Center for Advanced
Study in the Behavioral Sciences. His research
has beer concerned Ttainly with experimental
psychology of human learning, measurement and
structure of individual differences in mental
abilities, genetic and environmental determinants
of irrtei'ectual develooment and causes of
individua: and group differences in scholastic
performances. He has contributed more than
one hundred articles and chapters, many of
them freQuentty reprinted, to psychological and
educational journals and books.
