E- Services layer is the front-end layer <strong>of</strong> DC* Suit which interacts with citizens <strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong>fer services<br />

to the citizen. There are several methods proposed for the same in the DC* Suit. The services<br />

<strong>of</strong>fered over touch screen kiosks, interactive voice response system, Internet <strong>and</strong> counters.<br />

Intranet layer is the middle layer which <strong>of</strong>fers lot <strong>of</strong> collaboration services <strong>and</strong> tools. E-mail,<br />

messaging, chat, videoconferencing, bulletin boards are few <strong>of</strong> them.<br />

Back Office layer is the functional area comprising <strong>of</strong> all 21 functional modules with which the<br />

government staff will work <strong>and</strong> carry out the backend operations.<br />

Infrastructure:<br />

A data centre has been established in the Collector <strong>of</strong>fice. The Disaster Recovery (DR) centre is<br />

created in Collector camp <strong>of</strong>fice with a lease line <strong>of</strong> 2 Mbps between the Collectorate <strong>and</strong> Camp<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice. Only database backup is taken in DR centre. The infrastructure created for the project<br />

includes:<br />

• District Data Centre<br />

• Academic Centre – continuous training centre with thin clients<br />

• Discussion Room<br />

• Videoconferencing facility<br />

• Touch Screen Kiosks<br />
