Using MonitorMagic
The path of the directory where the command line must be executed. When processing this
command monitor, the MonitorMagic service will execute the command line composed of the
text specified in this field and append the command specified in the Command field.
If the command monitor is part of a policy, you might not exactly know the full path of the
command when applied an executed by a MonitorMagic service. Therefor, the following keywords
can be selected:

When applied to a MonitorMagic service, this field is expanded to the actual
Windows directory of the computer that runs the MonitorMagic service.
When applied to a MonitorMagic service, this field is expanded to the actual
Windows System32 directory of the computer that runs the MonitorMagic service.
When applied to a MonitorMagic service, this field is expanded to the Plugins
subdirectory of the MonitorMagic service program directory. This is the default
location of the MonitorMagic service plugins.
Wait until command is completed
Specify this option if you want the MonitorMagic service to wait until the command is completed
when executing the command line. If for whatever reason the command will never end, this will
cause the thread evaluating the monitor to hang.
Terminate process after ... seconds
Specify this option if you want the MonitorMagic to terminate the command when it is not
completed in reasonable time. This is the recommended option.
Limit the number of output characters for displaying purposes to ... characters
A number of commands can generate a large amount of output data. To be able to display this
data in a column or alert message, you can limit the number of characters displayed. Note the
complete output text is also available.
Analyze command output. Find output word ...
Select this option if you want the MonitorMagic service to find specific text in the command output.
... starting at character output position ...
Select this option if the command output text you want to analyze can be found on a fixed position.
For this option, you need the specify the position as well.
... positions after word ...
Select this option if the command output text can be found a fixed number of characters after the
specified word. For this option you need to specify the offset position and reference word as well.
If word not found, use word ...
You can specify a default word that will be used by the MonitorMagic service for analyzing
purposes when the specified word cannot be found.
Word represents a number
Select this option if the word found represents a number. Note that you must select this option
if you want to store the results of the command in a database.
Test
Press this button to test the command on a connected MonitorMagic service. By default, a timeout
value of 300 seconds will be used.
