MonitorMagic Quick Start Guide
When the service has been successfully installed, MonitorMagic will open a monitor
window that connects to the MonitorMagic service just installed. The new monitor window
will show a single line of text, informing you that there is nothing to show ("Connection
established with computer xxx. No monitors configured, nothing to show here ...").
To start monitoring you must apply a monitor policy to the computer. Select the name of
the local computer in the network browse window, right click the mouse, and select the
menu options Apply policy, then Disks standard control. MonitorMagic will find and start
monitoring the disks on the computer according to the applied policy. Some rules and
alarm actions will be created and executed. The rules of the monitors will check if the
available disk space is less than 10%. When this occurs, a popup message is sent to the
current machine.
The results are shown in the new monitor window. If a rule is violated and triggered, the
color of the monitored object will change. In the top part of the monitor window you can
see the monitored objects (monitors). When a monitor is selected, you can see the
associated rules in the bottom part of the monitor window.
