Specifying rule criteria
A rule can have one or more criteria. The criteria are combined in a logical expression to
determine if the rule state is TRUE or FALSE. You can specify a rule criteria with the Specify
rule criteria window. To activate the window, see Rule specification for more information
Most rule criteria consist of three parts: the value to compare (1), the operator (2), and a
reference value (3). The value to compare is always a monitor value. For different types of
monitors different values exist. The operator and reference values depends on the type of monitor
value, e.g. text and numeric values are compared in different ways.
The window contains 3 parts:
Specify the three components to setup the criteria
Value to compare
Select the monitor value from this list. The list contains all possible monitor values that apply to
this rule.
