MonitorMagic Select the option of your choice and press Finish to create the database at the specified location. The computer that runs the SQL Server database must have the SQL Server software installed. See Database - SQL Server for more information. If you are running the MonitorMagic service and the SQL Server database on different computers, the computer running the MonitorMagic service must have the SQL Server ODBC drivers installed. On Windows 2000 and Windows XP these ODBC drivers are automatically installed. On Windows NT 4.0, the ODBC drivers are installed when you install the MDAC software, Microsoft Office software or the SQL Server client software. When you create the SQL Server database, you need to specify the name of the computer running SQL Server and the preferred name of the database. 308

MonitorMagic will make the database name unique by adding a number to the specified name when a database with the same name already exists.
