When adding an e-mail alarm action, use the Send test message button to display the dialog as shown below. When sending e-mail test messages, specify the receiver's e-mail address, the subject and the message body. You can also specify which MonitorMagic service should perform the sending of the message. Click the Send test message to send the message. MonitorMagic will display a dialog which presents the status of the sent message. Using MonitorMagic Managing alarm action execution Escalation Keywords overview Pager - SMS message Pager - SMS message As an alarm action, MonitorMagic can send a message to an pager or mobile telephone (SMS). This is done by using a modem, connected to the server that runs the MonitorMagic service. The pager - SMS messages are sent by the MonitorMagic service depending on the configured alarm actions. See Alarm actions overview for more information. To use pager and SMS messaging, you need to install and configure the modem and specify some settings in MonitorMagic. See Introduction to pager - SMS and subsequent topics for more information. To configure an pager - SMS alarm action, continue reading.
