To switch between normal and advanced mode press the Advanced button. When running in
(default) normal mode MonitorMagic will fill in defaults for all extra fields specified in the
advanced section. If you are a member of the Domain Admins group of the domain you are
logged on to all default settings will be fine. Otherwise, you need to change some of the fields. If
you are upgrading instead of installing a MontiorMagic service most service options that can be
specified in this dialog will not be changed (see below). Instead, MonitorMagic will continue to use
the current settings.
Server name(s)
The name of the computer(s) you want to install or upgrade the service on. Note that this
computer can run Windows NT 4.0 workstation and Windows 2000 Professional as well. You can
specify multiple computers separated by comma's (,) as well. Example: Tulip,Rose.
Service serial number
The MonitorMagic license serial number. For test purposes, you can leave this field blank or
specify the word DEMO. The license number is a 30-digit number you obtain from your
MonitorMagic reseller. To upgrade from a demo version to a purchased version you need to fill in
the license code serial number here. For more information on MonitorMagic licensing, see the
