MonitorMagic Zooming (zoom factor) Determines the size of the object drawn. Corresponds with the angle (field of view) in the vertical direction used to look at the object. Light reflecting on the graph object makes the graph object visible. With the light parameters you can adjust the lighting effects. The graph object reflects light from 2 light sources: Light that comes from all directions (base intensity) and light from a spot light (all other parameters). Stretch (horizontal) Stretches the graph object in the horizontal direction. Stretch (vertical) Stretches the graph object in the vertical direction. See also: 3D Graphs - Introduction MonitorMagic service Installing and upgrading the MonitorMagic service The MonitorMagic service is the engine of MonitorMagic. The MonitorMagic service performs all networking calls, controls the monitors, evaluates the rules, and executes the alarm actions. The MonitorMagic service runs continuously as a service and is started automatically when a computer is started. To run MonitorMagic you need to have at least one MonitorMagic service installed, but you can also install the MonitorMagic service on multiple computers. Using MonitorMagic The MonitorMagic service can be installed on most computers running Microsoft Windows operating systems, including all version of Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. To check the exact requirements, see the topic Requirements. The MonitorMagic service can only be installed and upgraded with the MonitorMagic client application. To install the MonitorMagic client application, see the section Setup MonitorMagic. To install and upgrade the MonitorMagic service you need to be an administrator of the computer you installed or upgraded the service on. To start installing or upgrading the MonitorMagic service start the MonitorMagic client. In the Network view window browse to find the computer you want to install or upgrade the MonitorMagic service on. Right click the computer name and select the menu option Setup service. The MonitorMagic service setup dialog appears. This dialog is used to upgrade or install the service.
