The other information about computers in the network is collected by use of monitors. For predefined monitors see the Policies tree of MonitorMagic. It is not mandatory to store monitor data into the database. However, if you want to use monitor data for reporting purposes, then you will have to store monitor data. See Database - Monitor data.
