Using MonitorMagic
Properties
If a monitor window is open for the computer, it will be closed.
Specify how the information in for the selected computer(s) must be updated: on
request or automatically.
Columns
You can configure the columns that are shown in the window. To add a column to the window,
right click on the header of a column where you want to insert the new column. From the popup
menu you can select the following columns:
Column Description
name
Computer The name of the computer on which the MonitorMagic service runs and to which the
MonitorMagic client is connected. The computer name is shown as a NETBIOS
name.
Status
The status of the connection with the MonitorMagic service. This can be either
Connected, Not connected, Connecting...
Database The type and status of the database used by the MonitorMagic service.

The type of the database used by the MonitorMagic service.
The status of the (connection with the) database used by the MonitorMagic service.
A description of the MonitorMagic WebService. Example: HTTP:81 means that the
HTTP is enabled on port 81.
The NETBIOS domain name of the connected MonitorMagic service.
The status of the license code used by the MonitorMagic service.
License A description of the license code used by the MonitorMagic service.

The number of monitors that are in an alarm state (rule broken).
The number of report profiles maintained by the MonitorMagic service.
The number of computer for which the MonitorMagic service collects report data.
The number of reports for which E-mail distribution is configured.
The last time the information described in the current line was updated
The mode used to update the information for this line. This can be either On
request: The information if updated when the line is selected and refreshed (F5) or
Interval: The information is updated automatically, every Interval seconds.
Delete Delete the column at the current position.

To sort on a column, simply click the column header.
