MonitorMagic A tabbed window shows up. In this window, you can specify the monitor, rules, alarm actions, and scheduling parameters. The target computer is not specified since a policy monitor is not related to a target computer. To enable this feature, the MonitorMagic database must be configured to use a database. See Database - Introduction for more information. For the following monitor types you can store the monitor data in a database: Ping monitor Disk monitor Performance counter monitor Snmp get monitor You can specify the database storage parameter in both a policy and individual monitor. Using MonitorMagic Note: If the MonitorMagic service is configured not to use a database, you can still specify this option. In this case, no data will be stored in the database. Once a database is configured for the MonitorMagic service, data will be stored automatically.
