Registration<br />

New freshmen, transfer students, and readmitted students preregister for<br />

classes prior to matriculating in the fall or spring semesters, and complete<br />

<br />

advisors. Continuing students pre-register for an upcoming semester during<br />

the immediately preceding semester. Continuing students may revise their<br />

<br />

classes on MTWRF until 3:15 pm. Registration for any semester is not complete<br />

until a student has complied with all procedures and has made satisfactory<br />

<br />

Continuing Student: A continuing student, sometimes referred to as a returning<br />

student, is a student who was enrolled full-time during the previous semester.<br />

Cross Registration: Students are not permitted to be enrolled at another<br />

institution while attending <strong>Flagler</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />

Part-time Students: The programs and activities of <strong>Flagler</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />

are planned to meet the needs and interests of full-time students. A limited<br />

number of students, however, may be allowed to matriculate on a parttime<br />

basis (less than 12 semester hours), provided that space in the desired<br />

course(s) is available. All part-time students must apply for admission and be<br />

formally accepted prior to registering for classes. Part-time students are not<br />

eligible for medical insurance coverage, and are not allowed to participate in<br />

<strong>College</strong>-sponsored student athletic activities. Part-time students, however,<br />

are assigned to an academic advisor and should seek academic counseling<br />

on a regular basis. While part-time students may be eligible for certain types<br />

of federal financial aid programs, they are not eligible for State of Florida or<br />

institutional financial aid programs. Full-time students who wish to change<br />

to part-time enrollment for the next semester must complete a “Withdrawal<br />

<br />

of Business Services. Part-time students who wish to return to full-time status<br />

for the next semester must submit a formal, written request for readmission<br />

<br />

Readmitted Students<br />

Former students whose enrollment has been voluntarily or involuntarily<br />

interrupted, including academic suspension or dismissal, must petition the<br />

Registrar in writing for readmission to the <strong>College</strong>. The request for readmission
