Transient Transfer Credits from Another Institution<br />

<strong>Flagler</strong> students who wish to take courses at another institution during<br />

the summer must complete the Application for Transient Study. Additionally,<br />

student at another college or university. Application forms are available in the<br />

Registrar/. Students who fail to receive prior approval before enrolling at<br />

another institution will be denied transfer credit.<br />

<strong>Flagler</strong> <strong>College</strong> limits the number of hours a student may earn during the<br />

summer at another college or university after that student has enrolled at<br />

<strong>Flagler</strong>. Students may earn up to nine semester hours of credit from another<br />

<br />

<strong>Flagler</strong> <strong>College</strong>, except for those students participating in a Study Abroad or<br />

Study Away Program. Students may not earn credit for courses taken at a twoyear<br />

college after they have earned 60 or more semester hours.<br />

Declaration of Major<br />

All students, including transfer students, must declare a major upon the<br />

completion of 60 credit hours. Students may change their major and/or advisor<br />

<strong>Course</strong> Load<br />

hour of class work plus two hours of preparation per week for one semester. Average<br />

full-time course load for a semester is 15 semester hours, plus related laboratory<br />

periods; a minimum of 12 semester hours is required for full-time status. Students
