Total required: 21 Credit Hours<br />

A minimum of 3 credit hours is required at the 200 level.<br />

A minimum of 9 credit hours is required at the 300 level.<br />

A minimum of 6 credit hours is required at the 400 level.<br />

INT 200WI – Introduction to International Studies (3)<br />

INT 200 is the core course of the International Studies major. It is meant<br />

to introduce students to the variety of approaches to international studies in<br />

the social sciences and the humanities. In this course, students will become<br />

familiar with the various “ways of knowing” in different disciplines and will<br />

explicitly compare these perspectives. The course is both interdisciplinary<br />

and multidisciplinary, as students will understand how disciplines approach<br />

problems and questions, as well as how different disciplines connect with one<br />

another or simply contradict one another when it comes to methods and goals.<br />

INT 470 – Senior Seminar (3)<br />

This is a capstone course designed to bring together the knowledge acquired<br />

by the International Studies majors. This course will require the student to<br />

conduct independent research that demonstrates accumulated knowledge in the<br />

<br />

their research to their peers and faculty mentors at <strong>Flagler</strong>.<br />

Italian (ITA)<br />

ITA 101 – Elementary Italian I (4)<br />

Basic conversation, reading, grammar, and composition at the beginning<br />

college level. No prior knowledge of the language is assumed. One hour a week<br />

of language laboratory is required.<br />

ITA 102 – Elementary Italian II (4)<br />

Prerequisite: ITA 101 or Instructor’s permission. Basic conversation,<br />

reading, grammar, and composition at the beginning college level. No prior<br />

knowledge of the language is assumed except for ITA 101. One hour a week of<br />

language laboratory is required.<br />

Latin (LAT)<br />

LAT 101 – Elementary Latin I (3)<br />

An introduction to the basic grammar, syntax, and vocabulary of Latin<br />

through reading and composition.<br />

LAT 102 – Elementary Latin II (3)<br />

Prerequisite: LAT 101 or Instructor’s permission. An introduction to the basic<br />

grammar, syntax, and vocabulary of Latin through reading and composition. No<br />

prior knowledge of the language is assumed except for LAT 101.
