during the last week of the fall and spring semesters. The Registrar prepares<br />

students at the beginning of each semester. Faculty are required to adhere to the<br />

published schedule, and students must take the exams at the published times.<br />

Assessment<br />

Because of the commitment to provide quality educational experiences,<br />

<strong>Flagler</strong> <strong>College</strong> uses information from and about students to improve programs,<br />

services, and overall institutional effectiveness. The <strong>College</strong> obtains much of this<br />

information through the assessment of students’ skills, abilities, competencies,<br />

and satisfaction. From time-to-time, <strong>College</strong> faculty or staff may administer<br />

formal examinations, surveys, or other forms of assessment designed to assess<br />

institutional effectiveness. For example, each year the <strong>College</strong> asks special<br />

student groups to complete surveys related to particular topics. To ensure<br />

that adequate data are collected, students are asked to cooperate with these<br />

Exit Assessment<br />

Grading of Academic Work<br />

Final grades are available to students, via the campus website, at the<br />

conclusion of each semester and at the end of summer term, and are recorded on<br />

the student’s permanent record. At the student’s request, copies of grade reports<br />

will be sent to the legal home permanent address furnished by the student.
