The Relationship between Evaluation Criteria
as Conceptualised in Logical Framework Analysis
Sustainability
An assessment of the extent to which the positive effects of the project
can be expected to continue after external assistance has been concluded.
Efficiency
How the results stand in relation to the effort expended;
how economically inputs are converted into outputs;
whether the same results could have been achieved
in another, better way.
Relevance
The degree to which the project can be justified in relation to local
and national development priorities.
Impact
The changes and effects (positive and negative,
planned and unforeseen) due to the project,
seen in relation to both target and others who are affected.
Effectiveness
The extent to which the objectives have been achieved;
whether this can be expected
to happen on the basis of the project outputs.
