HIV prevalence rapidly rosethereafter to peak at 32.2% among uncircumcised men aged 35‐39 years. In contrast, the peak in HIVprevalence among circumcised men was significantly lower than that of uncircumcised men at 7.8%among men aged 40‐44 years. With the exception of the youngest age group (15‐19 years) where HIVprevalence was similar between circumcised (0.5%) and uncircumcised men (0.9%), prevalence amongcircumcised men in each age group was approximately three to seven times lower than amonguncircumcised men of the same age group.<strong>KAIS</strong> <strong>2007</strong> 113
