8.12 CONTRACEPTIVE USEThe next figure displays the unmet need for contraception among women aged 15‐49 years in maritalor cohabiting relationships who either did not want a child ever in the future or wanted a child but notin the next two years. This group comprised 33.6% of all women participating in the <strong>2007</strong> <strong>KAIS</strong>. Traditional methods include withdrawal and rhythm/natural methods.Of all women aged 15‐49 years who either did not want a child ever in the future or who wanted achild but not in the next two years, 45.0% were using modern contraceptive methods, and 52.4% werenot using any contraception at all.
