Prevalence was highest among currentlywidowed women (20.1%) and men (17.3%). 1 Women and men who had never married orcohabited had the lowest prevalence rates, at 4.6% and 1.9%, respectively. Prevalence was similarbetween women and men who were currently monogamous or currently polygamous.11,315 women and 376 men reported widowed, divorced or separated marital status.
