Less than 10% ofrespondents reported lack of access to testing, fear of others knowing about the test result, notknowing where to go to get tested and lack of access to treatment as the reasons for not getting tested.Men were significantly more likely than women to report low risk for HIV (51.2% and 43.3%,respectively) and fear that others would find out about the test results (8.0% and 5.2%, respectively) asreasons for not testing. Women were significantly more likely than men to report not knowing aboutthe test (8.6% and 6.3%, respectively), lack of knowledge about where to get tested (6.6% and 4.9%,respectively) or no reason (25.2% and 19.6%, respectively) as their barriers to getting tested.Respondents could provide more than one reason for not testing; reasons for not testing were notmutually exclusive.<strong>KAIS</strong> <strong>2007</strong> 76
