Some ethnic groups with ancestral homes in Nyanza, Rift Valley andWestern provinces, however, are traditionally non-circumcising communities. Recently, theefficacy of medical male circumcision in preventing HIV has been established in severalrandomised controlled trials in sub-Saharan Africa. To investigate this relationship, meninterviewed in the <strong>2007</strong> <strong>KAIS</strong> were asked if they were circumcised and their responses werelinked to biological outcomes.
