Examples: Multilevel Modeling With Complex Survey DataANALYSIS:TYPE = TWOLEVEL;The ANALYSIS command is used to describe the technical details of theanalysis. By selecting TWOLEVEL, a multilevel model with randomintercepts will be estimated.MODEL:%WITHIN%y ON x;%BETWEEN%y ON w xm;The MODEL command is used to describe the model to be estimated. Inmultilevel models, a model is specified for both the within and betweenparts of the model. In the within part of the model, the ON statementdescribes the linear regression of y on the observed individual-levelcovariate x. The within-level residual variance in the regression of y onx is estimated as the default. In the between part of the model, the ON statement describes the linearregression of the random intercept y on the observed cluster-levelcovariates w and xm. The intercept and residual variance of y areestimated as the default. The default estimator for this type of analysisis maximum likelihood with robust standard errors. The ESTIMATORoption of the ANALYSIS command can be used to select a differentestimator.241
