CHAPTER 15LISTWISE = ON;SWMATRIXThe SWMATRIX option is used with TYPE=TWOLEVEL andweighted least squares estimation to specify the name and location of thefile that contains the within- and between-level sample statistics andtheir corresponding estimated asymptotic covariance matrix. Theunivariate and bivariate sample statistics are estimated using one- andtwo-dimensional numerical integration with a default of 7 integrationpoints. The INTEGRATION option of the ANALYSIS command can beused to change the default. It is recommended to save this informationand use it in subsequent analyses along with the raw data to reducecomputational time during model estimation. Analyses using thisinformation must have the same set of observed dependent andindependent variables, the same DEFINE command, the sameUSEOBSERVATIONS statement, and the same USEVARIABLESstatement as the analysis which was used to save the information. It isspecified as follows:SWMATRIX = swmatrix.dat;where swmatrix.dat is the file that contains the within- and betweenlevelsample statistics and their corresponding estimated asymptoticcovariance matrix. For TYPE=IMPUTATION, the file specified contains a list of filenames. These files contain the within- and between-level samplestatistics and their corresponding estimated asymptotic covariancematrix for a set of imputed data sets.VARIANCESThe VARIANCES option is used to check that the analysis variables donot have variances of zero in the sample used for the analysis. Checkingfor variances of zero is the default. To turn off this check, specify:VARIANCES = NOCHECK;460
