TITLE, DATA, VARIABLE, And DEFINE CommandsSAVEThe SAVE option is used to save the imputed data sets for subsequentanalysis using TYPE=IMPUTATION in the DATA command. It isspecified as follows:SAVE = impute*.dat;where the asterisk (*) is replaced by the number of the imputed data set.A file is also produced that contains the names of all of the data sets. Toname this file, the asterisk (*) is replaced by the word list.PLAUSIBLEThe PLAUSIBLE option is used to specify the name of the file wheresummary statistics for the imputed plausible values for the latentvariables will be saved and to specify that plausible values will be savedin the files named using the SAVE option. Plausible values are multipleimputations for missing values corresponding to a latent variable. Theyare available for both continuous and categorical latent variables. Theinformation in the file includes for each observation and latent variable asummary over the imputed data sets. For continuous latent variables, these include the mean, median, standard deviation, and 2.5 and 97.5percentiles calculated over the imputed data sets. For categorical latentvariables, these include the proportions for each class. When thePLAUSIBLE option is used, the plausible values are saved in theimputed data sets. The PLAUSIBLE option is specified as follows:PLAUSIBLE = latent.dat;where latent.dat is the file in which information on the imputed plausiblevalues for the latent variables is saved.MODELThe MODEL option is used to specify the type of unrestricted H1 modelto use for imputation (Asparouhov & Muthén, 2010). The MODELoption has three settings: COVARIANCE, SEQUENTIAL, andREGRESSION. The default is COVARIANCE unless there is acombination of continuous and categorical variables in a single-levelanalysis in which case it is SEQUENTIAL. The COVARIANCE setting463
