MODEL CommandFor continuous latent variables, the residual variances are estimated asthe default. The residuals of the latent variables are correlated as thedefault because residuals are correlated for latent variables that do notinfluence any other variable in the model except their own indicators.These defaults can be overridden. Means, variances, and covariances ofthe independent variables in the model should not be mentioned in theMODEL command because the model is estimated conditioned on thecovariates.An ON statement can be used to describe the regression relationshipbetween an observed dependent variable and an observed independentvariable.
