CHAPTER 15TSCORESThe TSCORES option is used in conjunction with TYPE=RANDOM toidentify the variables in the data set that contain information aboutindividually-varying times of observation for the outcome in a growthmodel. Variables listed in the TSCORES statement can be used only inAT statements in the MODEL command to define a growth model. ForTYPE=TWOLEVEL, ALGORITHM=INTEGRATION must bespecified in the ANALYSIS command for this type of analysis. TheTSCORES option is specified as follows:TSCORES ARE a1 a2 a3 a4;where a1, a2, a3, and a4 are observed variables in the analysis data setthat contain the individually-varying times of observation for anoutcome at four time points.AUXILIARYAuxiliary variables are variables that are not part of the analysis model. The AUXILIARY option has four uses. One is to identify a set ofvariables that is not used in the analysis but is used in subsequentinvestigations. A second is to identify a set of variables that will be usedas missing data correlates in addition to the analysis variables. A third isto identify a set of variables not used in the analysis for which theequality of means across latent classes will be tested using posteriorprobability-based multiple imputations. A fourth is to identify a set ofvariables not used in the analysis that will be used as covariates in amultinomial logistic regression for a categorical latent variable. In the first use of the AUXILIARY option, variables listed on theAUXILIARY statement are saved along with the analysis variables if theSAVEDATA command is used. These variables can be used ingraphical displays if the PLOT command is used. If these variables arecreated using the DEFINE command or the DATA transformationcommands, they must be listed on the USEVARIABLES statement ofthe VARIABLE command in addition to being listed on theAUXILIARY statement. The AUXILIARY option is specified asfollows:AUXILIARY = gender race educ;496
