A description of Monte Carlo outputis given in Chapter 12.IMPUTATIONThe IMPUTATION setting of the TYPE option is used when the datasets being analyzed have been generated using multiple imputationprocedures. The file named using the FILE option of the DATAcommand must contain a list of the names of the multiple imputationdata sets to be analyzed. Parameter estimates are averaged over the setof analyses. Standard errors are computed using the average of thesquared standard errors over the set of analyses and the between analysisparameter estimate variation (Rubin, 1987; Schafer, 1997). A chi-squaretest of overall model fit is provided (Asparouhov & <strong>Muthén</strong>, 2008c;Enders, 2010). The ASCII file containing the names of the data setsmust be created by the user. Each record of the file must contain one458

It specifies the number of groups in theanalysis. It is specified as follows:NGROUPS = 3;which indicates that the analysis is a three-group analysis. Multiplegroup analysis is discussed in 14.LISTWISEThe LISTWISE option is used to indicate that any observation with oneor more missing values on the set of analysis variables not be used in theanalysis.
