ANALYSIS Commandrotation for the CRAWFER rotation and to specify a kappa valuedifferent from 1/p:ROTATION = CRAWFER (ORTHOGONAL .5);where .5 is the value of kappa. The kappa value can also be changed foran oblique rotation as follows:ROTATION = CRAWFER (OBLIQUE .5);orROTATION = CRAWFER (.5);The default for the OBLIMIN rotation is oblique with a gamma value of0. Gamma can take on any value. Following is an example of how tospecify an orthogonal rotation for the OBLIMIN rotation and to specifya gamma value different than 0:ROTATION = OBLIMIN (ORTHOGONAL 1);where 1 is the value of gamma. The gamma value can also be changedfor an oblique rotation as follows:ROTATION = OBLIMIN (OBLIQUE 1);orROTATION = OBLIMIN (1);The VARIMAX and PROMAX rotations are the same rotations as thoseavailable in earlier versions of Mplus. The VARIMAX rotation is thesame as the CF-VARIMAX orthogonal rotation except that VARIMAXrow standardizes the factor loading matrix before rotation. The TARGET setting of the ROTATION option (Browne, 2001) is usedwith models that have a set of EFA factors in the MODEL command. This setting allows the specification of target factor loading values toguide the rotation of the factor loading matrix. Typically these valuesare zero. The default for the TARGET rotation is oblique. Following isan example of how to specify an orthogonal TARGET rotation:539
