OUTPUT, SAVEDATA, And PLOT CommandsRECORDLENGTHThe RECORDLENGTH option is used to specify the number ofcharacters per record in the file to which the analysis data are saved. Itcannot be used for saving other types of data. The default and maximumrecord length is 5000. Following is an example of how theRECORDLENGTH option is specified:RECORDLENGTH = 220;SAMPLEThe SAMPLE option is used to specify the name of the ASCII file inwhich the sample statistics such as the correlation or covariance matrixwill be saved. Following is an example of how to specify the SAMPLEoption:SAMPLE IS sample.dat;where sample.dat is the name of the file in which the sample statisticswill be saved. If the working directory contains a file of the same name,it will be overwritten. The data are saved using free format delimited bya space. For continuous outcomes, the default is the covariance matrix. Forcategorical outcomes, the default is the correlation matrix. Forcombinations of continuous and categorical outcomes, the default is thecorrelation matrix. The TYPE option can be used in conjunction withthe SAMPLE option to obtain a matrix other than the default matrix. For TYPE=TWOLEVEL and maximum likelihood estimation, thesample correlation and covariance matrices are the maximum likelihoodestimated sigma within covariance and correlation matrices. ForTYPE=TWOLEVEL and weighted least squares estimation, the samplecorrelation and covariance matrices are the pairwise maximumlikelihood estimated sigma within covariance and correlation matrices. For ESTIMATOR=MUML, the sample correlation and covariancematrices are the sample pooled-within correlation and covariancematrices.667
