MONTECARLO Commandwhere z1, z2, and x1 are variables measured on the cluster-level(between).The BETWEEN option is also used to identify between-level categoricallatent variables.POPULATION, COVERAGE, AND STARTINGVALUESThe POPULATION, COVERAGE, and STARTING options are used aspopulation parameter values for data generation; population parametervalues for computing parameter coverage that are printed in the firstcolumn of the output labeled Population; and as starting values for theanalysis. These values are the parameter estimates obtained from aprevious analysis where the parameter estimates are saved using theESTIMATES option of the SAVEDATA command. These options aredescribed below.POPULATIONThe POPULATION option is used to name the data set that contains thepopulation parameter values to be used in data generation. Following isan example of how the POPULATION option is specified:POPULATION = estimates.dat;where estimates.dat is a file that contains the parameter estimates from aprevious analysis of the model that is specified in the MODELPOPULATION command.COVERAGEThe COVERAGE option is used to name the data set that contains thepopulation parameter values to be used for computing parametercoverage in the Monte Carlo summary. They are printed in the firstcolumn of the output labeled Population. Following is an example ofhow the COVERAGE option is specified:COVERAGE = estimates.dat;707
